Obituary of William Billy Bray Sr.

Billy Bray Sr. passed away on Wednesday, February 9th at the age of 62. He was a beloved and lifelong resident of Little Italy, and a licensed plumber who in recent years retired to support the community and help revitalize his timeless neighborhood. He was a volunteer firefighter, a member of The Sons of Italy as well as a two-term President of the Petrosino Lodge located here in lower Manhattan. He was honored and recognized by the 5th Precinct many times for his outstanding support of local police enforcement and their government officials. He was a caring father of three, a loving husband, and a devoted son. Throughout his life, Billy battled juvenile diabetes being diagnosed at the age of 7, and was a cancer survivor. Billy ultimately lost his battle to acute myeloid leukemia however no illnesses dimmed his spirit nor the love he had for his friends and family who gave him the strength to live a prosperous and fulfilled life. He will truly be missed by many and is survived by his treasured wife JoJo, youngest son Rocco, eldest son Will, stepdaughter Lana, his five wonderful grandchildren, his incomparable mother Josephine, and many more.
