Obituary of Evelyn Gardella

Evelyn Gardella, (Chick) 93 of Greenwich Village, died on Thursday, January 13th. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Greenwich Village. You could find her with her family in Budd Lake during the summer, and in the years after that, she could be found in Manasquan. She worked at Saint Vincent's Medical Center before retiring.

Evelyn was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lena Imperato. Wife of the late Eugene Gardella. She is pre-deceased by her son Eugene, her brother Joseph, and sisters Mary and Judy.

She is survived by her son Chris, his wife Maria, and beloved grandson Anthony. She also leaves behind her sister Camille. She was a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation for Evelyn at Greenwich Village Funeral Home 190 Bleecker Street, New York City on Tuesday from 2-7 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church followed by Entombment at Saint John's Cemetery, Queens.

Really appreciate the support and friendship she provided to my cousin Thelma. So glad I had the opportunity to meet her. She was a sweetheart inside and out. May she forever rest in peace. My condolences and love to the family.
