Obituary of Elio Ferreira

Elio Ferreira passed away on November 20, 2019 at his home in Riverdale, NY. His wife, Maria, was by his side as she has been for their 64 blessed years of marriage.

Elio was the devoted father of three daughters, Elizabeth, who survives him, and Maria Luisa and Elvira, who predeceased him. He was the adored grandfather of seven grandchildren, Michael, Ricky, Rosalina, Melissa, Matthew, John, and the late Manuel. He also leaves behind his loving sister, Sylvinia, and five great-grandchildren.

Elio was born on March 1, 1927 in Rio de Janeiro. He emigrated to the United States in 1955 and became a proud United States Citizen in 1960. Elio worked in construction for over 35 years. He was a diligent worker his entire life and instilled the same work ethic to his children and grandchildren.
