Obituary of Pauline Migliorini

Pauline Migliorini (nee Galliano), of Greenwich Village passed peacefully on October 31, 2023, on her favorite holiday. Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Renato. She devoted her life to her two children, Maria A. Cintron and Peter Migliorini, son-in-law Teddy Cintron and daughter-in-law Sarah Kickham.

Pauline was an only child but was raised and surrounded by many cousins and she leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Born in Greenwich Village and a lifelong resident, she was extremely proud of her city upbringing and Italian heritage.

She worked many years as a librarian and teacher’s aide at Our Lady of Pompeii School, and she also volunteered as a Boy Scount and Girl Scout leader. Pauline retired from the Boy Scouts of America, where she worked for many years. 

Pauline, being Pauline couldn’t sit still and started volunteering in the library at St. George School. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Pompeii Church and the Three Societies of the Rosary. Pauline loved being around children of all ages. She was a mentor and a surrogate mother to many of her children’s friends. You would often see Pauline sitting ON her bench in front of Piccolo Angolo, talking to all those who passed by. Pauline will be missed by all those who knew her, and she will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
