Carmela died Saturday, May 30, 2020, at her residence in Manhattan. Visitation and Mass will be held privately. Interment will be in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.

A life-long resident of Greenwich Village, he was a fixture in St. Anthony's and St. Alphonsus' parishes, serving as an usher, Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus (Knickerbocker Council); and organizer for numerous charitable and social events in both parishes, often acting as "head chef" at them.
